Our story

It all began with a Groupon for a soap making class in 2015. Over the next years I’d take more soap making classes learning about oils, butters, fragrances, coloring and how to safely use lye to make soap. Then becoming more advanced by using coloring and swirling techniques to make a beautiful soap. While perfecting recipes and coloring techniques, I created a LOT of soap that was given away to friends, family and colleagues. Many people said that “you should sell your soaps” and the Purple Penny Soap Company LLC was born December 2024.

The Purple Penny Soap Company LLC soaps are all natural, using oils and butters that you can pronounce like olive oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, tallow, cocoa butter and shea butter. We have vegan and palm free soaps as well as fragrance and colorant free for our sensitive skin users. Our soaps are good for bathing and handwashing people.   Due to the natural pH of soap, Purple Penny Soaps are not safe for use on animals or shampooing human heads. 

We’re a 100% woman owned small business in Southeast Wisconsin. You can find us at local craft fairs throughout the year. We look forward to meeting you and sharing our handcrafted small batch cold process soaps.
